Short Version: A manipulative candy-shop owner who enjoys playing pranks and twisting everyone to accomplish his goal of maintaining the status quo of everything existing rather than turning into pure chaos.

Slightly Longer, More Spoilery Version: A soul reaper acting as an assassin, a scientist and a jail warden before becoming a captain and reverse-engineering god while trying to figure out prosthetics for disabled comrades, who would eventually be framed for horrific unethical experiments and be banished from his home realm to maintain an undercover persona as a shopkeeper. He prefers looking utterly defenseless as an unlikable, vapid fool to cover up his much meaner and blisteringly pragmatic(and also very unlikable) mindset. While he seems like the kind of schemer who plans a hundred years in the future, he prefers to have a thousand solutions to a problem so he won't get caught with his pants down.

'For the sake of Soul Society' would be his driving motivation in any situation.
